Quarterly Briefing 0:42

Good morning — I'll keep this to five minutes, because the number tells the story.

Last quarter we said we'd cut fulfillment time by a third. We cut it by half.

Pause — let it land

That didn't come from working harder. It came from removing the three slowest steps entirely.

Here's what I want you to remember: the bottleneck was never the team. It was the process we inherited.

So this quarter, we're doing it again — two more steps are on the list.

Slow down

And when we're done, same-day will just be how it works.

Why OnCue

Built for the ninety seconds that matter

Most teleprompter apps are built for studios. OnCue is built for the talk you're giving this week — write it, rehearse it against a timer, deliver it without looking down.

▸▸

Scroll at your pace

Smooth auto-scroll with live speed control — nudge it faster or slower mid-read with the arrow keys. A fixed eye-line keeps your place; tap anywhere to pause.

[ ]

Delivery cues

Mark how to say it, not just what to say. Bracketed cues render as small gold reminders — pause, slow down, land the line — your eye reads them without breaking flow.

⏱

Rehearse to time

A running timer and a speaking-pace estimate for every script. Know it fits your slot before you're in the room.

≡

Script library

Every script saved, autosaved, and one keystroke from the prompter. Duplicate a script to make a short cut of it. Import and export plain text.

◧

Mirror mode

One click flips the display for beam-splitter teleprompter glass. Full-screen mode for real delivery.

⌂

Private by design

Your scripts live on your Mac and nowhere else. No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Works offline.

Writing for the ear

Markup you already know

Plain text in, prompter out. Two conventions cover everything: emphasis and cues.

You write
We said we'd cut it by a third. We cut it by **half**. [Pause — let it land] That didn't come from working harder.

Questions

The short answers

Does it work with camera-mounted teleprompter rigs?

Yes — mirror mode flips the text horizontally for beam-splitter glass, and full-screen mode gives the rig a clean feed. It's equally at home un-mirrored, just below your webcam.

Where are my scripts stored?

Locally, on your Mac, as plain data you can export to text at any time. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. OnCue has no server.

Can I control it while presenting?

Space starts and stops. Arrow keys adjust speed live. R restarts. Or tap the text itself — useful when you're standing at a desk mid-talk.

What happens after I pay?

You get an immediate download link for the app. Drag it to Applications and you're done — first script to prompter in under a minute.
